Hello! I’m Annika Brown.

I am currently a student at Chapman University pursuing a B.S in Computer Science and a B.A. in Theatre. I have also taken many classes in game development. At Chapman, I am the Treasurer for Girls Who Code, and an active member of Panther Game Development Club, Society of Women in Engineering, and Computer Science Club.

In terms of computer science, I have been a part of student projects like creating a database for a pseudo board game cafe, and creating different colors and patterns for the flickering lights on our life sized R2-D2. I’m currently working with a couple groups of students on games called, “The Forbidden Tome” and “Corporate Escape”. One is a top-down 2D roguelike where you can progress through three different levels to find the tome, and the other is a 2D office themed escape room game.

In terms of theatre, I have acted in productions of “The Importance of Being Earnest” and “Urinetown”, as well as multiple student written plays. I have also voice acted in multiple projects, including “Regale Us” and “The Suit’s Reckoning”, both student made games here at Chapman. This Fall, I will also be assistant directing Chapman’s production of “The Little Prince”.

After I graduate from Chapman, I plan to pursue a masters degree in computer science or game development. Although I do not plan to pursue an education in theatre after undergrad, I still plan to continue getting involved with many theatre productions, and entertainment in general!
